Taking Stock: August 2014
It’s been 2 months since my last ‘Taking Stock‘ back in June. At that point I had the post-wedding blues and Dan had just arrived in Boston to complete his master’s program. Now, my man’s back and Fall is just around the corner. In between I explored Salzburg with girlfriends and went on a wild family road trip to Amsterdam, the Moselle Valley and Cinque Terre. Time has flown.
Summer 2014, are you really leaving us so quickly?
Cooking | GERMAN food at home. After a failed attempt at buying ingredients from a Pinteresty Alfredo lasagna, I’ve come to terms with the fact that my beloved American ingredients are just not available. So, I need to change how I cook. Ingredients for German food are ample – if you can’t beat it, join it. Right? Bring on the schnitzel!
Making | A wedding photo album. Does anyone have any recommendations for an online album maker?
Missing | Hokie football – more specifically: tailgating with friends, Blacksburg, the grime and fun of postgame TOTs, reuniting with old classmates, the buzz of campus in the Fall… sighh, I’ll stop now.
What about you? What’s shaking on your end?
