Stepping Off the Beaten Path // Instagram Reader Submission Project
It took 28 hours of flying, a 9 hour train ride, and a 1 hour bus ride to get here. Dan and I agreed, we really are somewhere very exotic right now. I understand there are far more remote places but for us this is the cusp of the furthest from home we’ve ever been. Over the past two days we’ve been exploring the jungle, trekking through the rice terraces and even stared a meal with a local family (more on that later). Everything we’ve seen is so memorable and different from anywhere I’ve been before. I feel adventurous!
As a lover of photography and therefore Instagram, last month I held my first-ever Instagram reader submission project. I asked readers to submit their favorite photos of nature and then shared my 10 favs here on the blog. My logic was that odds are, I might not already be following YOU on Instagram (shame, let’s fix that!) and wanted to fairly highlight great accounts! Here are the beautiful results from the September Instagram project including this shot by Erica Baker of Bakers Tell Stories:
Welp, you guessed it – this month we’re at it again. The topic this time: adventure. Whether it’s eating something funky, going somewhere remote or just doing anything outside the norm – there’s a lot of adventure out there! I’d love to see how you captured it!
The Details: email me a link to the web address (found on the desktop version of IG) of your favorite shot on the topic along with your name, blog name and web address (if you have it – not required!) and IG handle. There are no rules on when you originally shared it either!
Email: margo@theoverseasescape.com. Please submit by midnight EST on October 17. I’ll share my favs right here on the blog next week. 😉
