Photo Diary: Seaside on the Cote D’Azur // Cannes, France
When you think of the French Riviera you think of sparkling water, luxury hotels and sunbathing celebs. You think of Cannes. After our visit to Cassis, the girls and I spent a day there seaside. It was not cheap – $25 per person to rent a sunbed another $20 for some okay-ish chicken tacos. But hey, we had to. The beach clubs setup along the coast in Cannes are all fairly similar, spendy with slight differences in their theme. We camped out at Plage45 for no other reason than that we liked the look of the white sunbeds and absence of clubby music. This was our low key day on the trip and we embraced it but doing nearly nothing but napping, chatting and sipping overpriced mixed drinks.
After our day of seaside leisure (I love how ridiculous that sounds) I insisted the gals join me in sporting bright red Chanel lipstick for evening drinks. It’s all about playing that part, right? That night we stayed in nearby Juan les Pins at this Airbnb. It was drastically cheaper than staying in Cannes though lacked on the glitz.
