An Afternoon in a Walled City // York, England
A few months back I spent an afternoon in walled city of York, England. A quintessential English town – narrow winding pedestrian-only streets, a rich 2,000 year old past, and of course that cozy British architecture that seems to make streetscape just plain cute. In all honesty, I wouldn’t put it high on your bucket list with all the other beautiful places in the region (especially Harrogate), but there’s no question it’s a charming little place that’d be the perfect stopover en route to towns in Northern England. While there, be sure to check out the ‘Shambles’, a funky mid-evil street, and the grounds of the Yorkshire Museum, the place for the perfect picnic on a sunny day.
