15 Dreamy AirBnb’s in Europe (under $100 with a View!)

15 Airbnb's in Europe Under $100 with a View - The Overseas Escape

Who said luxurious European travel wasn’t attainable? Here are 15 listings WITH a view and LESS than $100/night.

The back story: Dan and I never had a honeymoon. In fact, two days after getting married he moved straight to Boston for the summer to wrap up his Master’s degree while I returned to Germany. No, I don’t deserve a pity party, I get it. We travel constantly and have definitely made up for the missing ‘moon. But still, a gal can dream about a carefree week with her sweetie, can’t she?

Over the past few years I’ve quietly been piling up gorgeous Airbnb properties – under $100 per night – that I’d LOVE to escape to when given the chance. I’ve quietly socked them away in my ‘Dream Destinations’ wishlist on Airbnb (see it here). To me, nothing beats a room with a view so naturally that became one of the more important qualifications for making my dreamy cut!

Since I can’t make it to them, you’ll have to do it for me! Okay?

So, which one would you pick?!

* This post is in no way sponsored, just sharing my wishlist! 🙂

  • I am all about a room with a view! Our rooms in Croatia had views just like the one on the list, amazing I want to go back!

    • considering that I am still daydreaming about YOUR croatian vacation, I can only imagine how you must be feeling! that view from your balcony was absolutely ridiculous.

  • The slow pace

    I’ve never rented an Airbnb! I don’t know… I have a soft spot for room service 😉
Anyway, the Maison Bellevue looks amazing!
    xx,
    E.

    • ha, well I certainly hear you – something about crawling into clean white hotel sheets makes sleeping away from home all the easier! (the places I’ve stayed at in order to save a dime, I tell ya!)

      • The slow pace

Well, you don’t know the time I spend searching for the best hotel offers ! By the way, I don’t know if you already know it (you probably do) but if you subscribe to the Conde Nast Deals (UK website) they will send you two weekly mails with AMAZING offers for luxury hotels in the whole world!!! (But don’t tell anyone… let this be a secret between us!)

  • Shelby

airbnb is seriously the best source for finding places to stay! my fiance and I tried it out for the first time on a spontaneous roadtrip to San Francisco a year ago, and we have never gone back!

    • I’m right there you dear! half the time I forget to check hotel websites because I don’t even consider it anymore. where did you road trip from to SF? sounds pretty awesome.

  • Swoon. I want them all!!

    • sigh… me too, girl, me too!

  • I’ll take them all, please!

    • ha, you can have the rest but save Montenegro for me! 😀

  • Ahhh this is great! I want to stay in all of them! All year long! lol

    • haha! you and me both girl! like, ALL year would be justttt fine. i.e. I probably shouldn’t be living Europe, huh?!

  • saving this!! awesome finds!

    • thanks, love! it’s a good post to daydream on! 😀

  • Unbelievable!!! I really enjoyed staying in an apartment when we were in Paris last time. It was an amazing experience I would definitely do it again!

    • wonderful! where did you end up staying? I adore the Marais and St. Germain add. but montmartre always feels almost more authentic.

  • Julia

My god, this post has literally made me drool!! Considering checking out of my tiny apartment for a night now just for brunch with that view of Notre Dame 😀

My favorite one has to be the one in Montenegro though, could you just imagine sipping your morning coffee with that view?

    • it’s pretty magnificent isn’t it?! so you and I are two peas in a pod, montenegro is my personal fav too! it looks so exotic and just… well, perfect! I can’t imagine!

  • This is absolutely amazing. Those views! I’m headed to England next May for student teaching and will hopefully be doing some traveling as well, definitely checking out air bnb while there!

    • oh fun! where are you going in England? I’m sure you’re going to have such an amazing time! You’ll see, Airbnb is definitely the hot thing to do these days so I’m sure you’ll end up in some of them in your travels! 🙂

  • Amazing! I want to visit ALL these places! It’s amazing what you can get for your money if you’re willing to do some research and step out of the comfort zone of hotels. Thanks for sharing!

    • of course, dear! have you stayed at any Airbnb’s yet? I’ll admit that I do love a good hot hotel breakfast buffet but the money I’ve saved is definitely appreciated!

      • Not yet, but I’m sure I will eventually! My last few trips haven’t been conducive to the Airbnb model. I’m with you on that breakfast buffet. 🙂 But it is nice to save the money, and then you can buy some cheap, delicious, authentic street food for breakfast!

  • I think I’d happily pick any of them… but maybe santorini? xx

    • it seems that the general consensus is Santorini but I’m puling hard for the one in Montenegro! 😀

  • Holy moly, those views! I am staying in my first AirBnB in a couple of days for a trip in Washington, DC and if all goes well, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to try staying at one of those places mentioned above. Wow, the value for the view is so amazing!

    • oh nice! I’ll hold off from rattling off a long list of things I think you should do when you visit DC (ahem, go to Good Stuff and get a milkshake and burger) but I’m sure you’re going to have a ton of fun! safe travels!

  • Wow, these are all amazing! Santorini’s one of the top places on my bucket list though and that view looks incredible so that’d probably be my #1!

    • I definitely hear ya! I’m actually going to be there in two weeks so I’ll be sure to pass on the love! 😀

  • Ahh they’re all so beautiful! I think my favourite is Santorini…or maybe Lake Como?

    • decisions, decisions… well I vote for Montenegro because it seems like the most exotic and off the map. hmm, santorini for olives and apps then lake como for a pasta dinner feast?

  • Miranda Babbitt

Maison Bellevue pour moi, s’il vous plait!

    • Ben Oui! Moi aussi! (credit to Google Translate)

  • Wow this looks amazing. The picture of Montenegro looks incredible. I would love to go there.

    • me too dear! honestly, of all the places on that list Montenegro seems like the most exotic and therefore most interesting. cheers to both of us getting over there sometime soon!

  • Oh good heavens. I die.

    • Ha. “I die.” too. (Not sure if Rachel Zoe gets all the credit for that phrase but I absolutely love and use it often… to which German friends just stare at me.)

      • LOL! I just picture someone’s face that doesn’t know the phrase and it makes me laugh…they’d have to be so confused by it. Gotta love cultural idioms…

  • Erin B

these all look amazing! my boyfriend and I are currently scouring AirBnb for our upcoming trip to amsterdam!x
    http://fromerinwithlovee.blogspot.co.uk/

    • woohoo! amsterdam is definitely dan’s favorite city and falls right behind Paris for me. you’re going to have an amazing time no matter where you stay! eat some stroopwaffels for me! 🙂

  • What amazing photos, these places must be interesting places to visit

    • completely agree! I love when Airbnb properties put so much care and thought into the photos they display, it instills such a sense of wanderlust for the rest of us! 🙂

  • Uhh the listing could say “alley view, with cats” and I would pick it just to be somewhere warm and beautiful like Italy!

    • ha, seriously. The truth is, I did stay somewhere in Paris that I woke multiple times with bugs on me (so gross, I know!) and continued to stay there simply because – hey, it’s Paris! 😀 ha

      • lol that’s love!

  • Marija Srndovic

Umm, I hate to be a stick in the mud, but that last photo is a bit of a
problem; firstly, Mostar is not in Montenegro, it’s in BiH. The photo,
however, is definitely from Montenegro, and judging by the view of the
Our Lady of the Rocks church, I’d say the town in question was Perast.
This is NOT an “#OMG, you don’t know anything and you’re being
offensive” kind of comment, I just figured that since people like the
picture, they should know where exactly it was taken, if they’d like to visit 🙂
All the photos are tantalizingly gorgeous, by the way 🙂

    • Marija – you’re awesome, thanks so much! It looks like I crossed two listings that I had saved. I cleared it up and now and THANK YOU for letting me know. I really appreciate it.

  • These are incredible! I had to no idea you could enjoy views like these for under $100 – looks like Air B’nB is the way forward! x

    • I’m definitely not going to dispute that a hot breakfast and room service can do wonders for travel, but you’re exactly right – being able to see places like Santorini and Paris and staying in somewhere like the ones I listed really makes a strong case for Airbnb-ing! 🙂

  • I have yet to stay in an airbnb apt. Are those prices per person ore for a couple?

    • For a couple! Sometimes Airbnb’s will charge an additional fee after 2 people, like 10E/night pp, but all of the apartments listed here are for 2, I believe. 🙂

  • Dorothee

#9 Dubrovnik Croatia! Beautiful view. I have visited Dubrovnik & must say it was my favorite little surprise. Wonderful Old Town, people are very friendly and English is their second language. Great prices, great views, great weather (late Oct anyway). Walk the walls around the Old Town for sure!

  • It’s possible I’ve already commented on this post, but I have an upcoming trip to Europe planned and I’m trying to find places to find another city to visit. Every time I start to do some research, I find myself always checking your blog to see if you’ve been there! 🙂 Thank you for the continuous inspiration! I have no doubt that when you move back to the US you will continue to inspire state side travel!

    • Hi Bri, I know this reply is 7 months old but THANK YOU for all the sweet comments you made about my blog. Now that I’m back in the US and revisiting some of these old posts it’s feedback like yours that absolutely means the world to me. Thanks again! 🙂

Nice share! Definitely will check these list when I am about to search for Airbnb’s rooms 🙂
Just in case, if you also have a recommended list of Airbnb in Heidelberg, I’ll visit the city for 2 days in March.

  • Erin

Because of this post I booked three of these Airbnbs for my upcoming trip to Europe!!

  • My husband and I just left Lake Como where we stayed at the “Apt with Panoramic Views” in Bellagio that you feature above! I found it several months ago through your recommendation. It was AMAZING! Highly, highly recommend it for a relaxing getaway with a view that cannot be beat. Thanks for posting about it!

  • Frank Thomae

Great, I enjoy these posts – we’re full-time travellers and basically stay in Airbnb apartments about 300 days of the year. Always appreciate recommendations in various places.

Hehehe, I know this post is old but we are going to Rome in December and I just looked up Made in Rome- Piazza Venezzia, and it’s $225/night. (over $1000 with taxes and such for 4 nights) 🙂 Far cry from anything less than $100/night. I’m a new reader, just found you today, but I would love to travel every day of my life to a new place. Ugh! Get’s my heart jumping at the thought of it. Can’t wait to read your blog.
